How to choose bell peppers or capsicum
There are three things you should consider when buying bell peppers.
The first is its appearance. If you find any shriveling or sunburn spots or signs of decay. It's best to overlook that one and find another fresher looking capsicum.

The second one is the lobes. As long as the pepper has none of the above defects the number of lobes does not matter. A bell pepper with 2 or 3 lobes is as healthy as a four-lobe pepper.

The last thing to consider is the purpose of why you are buying the pepper. If you are cutting it up for a salad it doesn’t have to be flawless. If it's for cooking then a four lobe pepper is best.
